Dramabaazi… For Children 0 0 ShareNew From : 01/05/2011 To : 31/05/2011 Start time : 10:00 AM End time : 4:00 PM Theatre Group : Thespo Faculty : Sananda Mukhopadhyaya Workshop details : A 4-week theatre playshop for children culminating in performances at Prithvi Theatre. The Dramabaazi playshop is a unique programme designed for participants in the age group of 8-14 years of age. The playshop will run from 1st May to 30th May 2011. This will be followed by shows at Prithvi Theatre on 31st May and 1st June 2011. The sessions will be held 4-6 days per week at Prabhadevi. Each session will be between 2-4 hours. The sessions will get more intensive closer to the days of performance. Says Quasar Thakore Padamsee of Team Thespo: “Dramabaazi programme was initiated last year, to combine the talent of young theatre-wallahs with the imagination of children to explore various aspects of theatre, discuss, debate and rehearse the text (playscript) and finally experience the thrill of performing to an audience in a professional theatre set up.” Dramabaazi is a Thespo’s Children’s Wing. Thespo is a youth theatre movement that organizes workshops, performances and theatre festivals across India for participants under 25 years of age. Started in 1999, all Thespo activities are aimed at promoting and encouraging theatre amongst the youth and giving them a platform.
