Hosted at Mumbai’s National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA)
Course Outline: • This team will be working intensively with participants every day for up to 8 hours. That will total almost 100 hours of class time.
• Naseeruddin Shah will be teaching acting class every day.
• This will be an intense, hands-on program of classes incorporating a series of carefully designed and rigorous training exercises.
• Participants will engage in what it physically means to work through the Imagination, into Impulse, then Action and finally Emotion.
• This is a core ideology for Acting and the tutors have developed their awareness of these processes through extensive professional and training application over a number of years.
• This isn’t a conceptual course. It’s skills based, and your understanding comes from deep, consistent engagement of the body and voice.
Course Tutors India’s legendary actor, Naseeruddin Shah will be teaching participants every day along with two of his close collaborators from Australia: Geraldine Cook, from Australia’s No.1 ranked University of Melbourne and it’s Premier Arts Training institute, The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) along with International acting tutor, director, producer, Professor Dalip Sondhi
Course Schedule (Please note a more detailed course curriculum and outline will be provided upon registration). Each day will begin at 10am and finish by 6.15pm.
There will be a short 45- minute lunch break.
This is going to be a physically and mentally demanding program.
No more than 50-60 applicants will be accepted into the program. There will be TWO group sizes of 25-30 (max).
There are three (3) aspects/classes during the 12 days: •Warm up and relaxation • Voice Class • Acting Class
The morning session will run from 10.00am-1:15pm (3 hours teaching), and the afternoon from 1.45pm – 6.00pm (4 hours teaching).
